About The Breastfeeding Companion Charity

The Breastfeeding Companion is a UK-registered charity that provides free evidence-based resources for families and healthcare professionals.

Our Mission

Every breastfeeding family deserves access to reliable, expert-led support.

As a dedicated breastfeeding charity, we bridge the gap between families seeking guidance and healthcare professionals needing specialised lactation training.

Our Story

Founded by Jackie Hall, an experienced International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), The Breastfeeding Companion began with a vision to make breastfeeding support universally accessible.

Since August 2021, we’ve grown from a vision into a vital resource hub, supporting thousands of breastfeeding journeys whilst training healthcare professionals across the NHS and private practice. Looking ahead, we’re developing plans to translate our resources into multiple languages to ensure broader accessibility for diverse communities.
